Ruckus Taco Co. is a chef- driven quick service taco truck and quick service restaurant, based out of canton, mi.

We started this journey almost 9 years ago. Jeremy Kalmus, the owner of Ruckus Taco Co. is a traditionally trained chef that attended Johnson and Wales University in 2003 in Charleston, SC.

upon graduating culinary school, Jeremy moved back to the Detroit area and began working for the Matt Prentice Restaurant group. Chef worked the ranks, starting from a prep cook position and working up to an executive chef position in around a 10 year time frame, mostly working at MPRG, but taking a stint and working as Chef Brian Polcyn and Chef David Gilberts’ sous chef at The forest Grill in Birmingham. Jeremy also worked as a private chef and did a series of very successful pop- up dinners.

We started Ruckus Taco Co. for a “ change of pace”. We still hold many principles from the fine dining field of restaurants and apply them to our food and service at Ruckus Taco Co.

You can expect friendly service, fresh food and integrity behind anything that we serve.
